Physics and technology of nanostructured materials for photonic applications has become an important area of research that is poised to transform ongoing technologies and ultimately our everyday life in the future. Synthesis, modeling and characterization of such materials help to better understand the fundamental physics in the nanoscale.
The main goal of this workshop is to review recent achievements in various fields related to advanced photonic nanostructures and provide high level courses and training for students.
The workshop features tutorial-style talks, poster sessions for students and ample time in beautiful surroundings of St. Petersburg – the “cultural capital” of Russia and Peterhof – the former summer residence of the Russian emperors, in the mysterious season of White Nights.
All participants of the International Summer School and Workshop “Nanostructures for Photonics” will have access to all technical sessions of all other events of the Lasers and Photonics Congress.
The International Congress "Lasers and Photonics" will start on Monday, June 27, with a Plenary Session at the Holiday Inn Moskovskye Vorota hotel.
The day of June 28 NSP 2016 program will be combined with the 17th International Conference «Laser Optics 2016», where the co-chairs of the workshop will organize a session devoted to optical nanomaterials.
The workshop promises wide opportunities for interaction, exciting discussions, and invigorating debates. We hope your experiences here will stimulate new collaborations and spark on future breakthroughs.
