School for Young Scientists “Quantum and Nonlinear Photonics”

School for Young Scientists “Quantum and Nonlinear Photonics” in 2016 is an integral part of the "Lasers and Photonics" Congress organized by ITMO University.

All participants of the School for Young Scientists “Quantum and Nonlinear Photonics” will have access to all technical sessions of all other events of the Lasers and Photonics Congress.  

The International Congress "Lasers and Photonics" will start on Monday, June 27, with a Plenary Session at the Holiday Inn Moskovskye Vorota hotel.

This school is devoted to modern problems in the area of nonlinear and quantum photonics. The event format will include: 

Friday May 27  - Sunday June 26

- Summer Camp in Photonics that incorporates real research work on various topics in the area of quantum cryptography, femtosecond and terahertz optics, biophotonics and image processing from top level experts and intensive Russian language course to get the taste of what it would feel like to live and study in St Petersburg. As an outcome you will acquire unique research experience in the various fields of photonics that will foster your continuing theoretical studies in the field. You will also receive a certificate showing the number of earned ECTS credits. The camp is open for all students with prior registration, but number of places is limited.

Invited and key-note lectures delivered by internationally recognized scientists who will review the school topics and describe latest results and achievements.
